Welcome

My name is Alexandre Bish. I am the Director of Empirika, a research consultancy, and the co-founder of MyRA, an innovative AI-powered platform designed for the thematic analysis of qualitative research data. 

 

I am also a PhD researcher in Security and Crime Science at UCL, funded by the EPSRC. I was recently a Visiting Researcher at the University of Oxford and a Visiting Scholar at Yale University.

My research focusses on political, security, and migration dynamics in West, Central and North Africa. I am particularly interested in using innovative methods for the study of violence and harm.

I have worked for and regularly advise western governments, and provide expert opinions for the media, including the BBC, Reuters, AFP, the Economist, the New York Times and Radio France International. Feel free to contact me for my CV.
